Fabulous stay in The Stables for our group of 12. Perfect space and wonderful surroundings.

This was a brilliant place for the family holiday 8 adults and 6 grandchildren and a family friend and husband for 2 nights. Not far from supermarkets. Beautiful valley and 9 acres of land to explore with horses, swimming pool - which we used each day, heated and 1.22m deep for the whole pool, games room - table tennis, table football, pool, playground areas, gardens. Felt very secure and easy to use, all we needed, to look after ourselves was on site and Richard was always happy to give advice or help.

We had a very relaxing time. On arrival Richard showed us around and told us everything we needed to know ! Facilities were great & the kids had a great time. Being able to bring the dogs was a plus ! After all they are part of the family even they had a great time walking in the field ❣️Swimming pool was always clean and water was to a nice temperature & the jacuzzi was nice and hot and the highlight of the day for me ❣️Definitely will come back and most definitely recommend ❣️🙏

The cottage, grounds and facilities were perfect for our multi generational gathering for Mum’s 90th Birthday - even the weather was good for us. 😊. The Cottage felt very homely and was equipped with everything we could possibly want. We all had a fantastic time and hope to visit again sometime.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay for a big family 60th birthday get together. Plenty of parking on site a short walk from the accomodation, steep drive but you can access with your car for drop off etc. Richard was friendly and walked us through all of the main points with a comprehensive folder of info provided as well. The Pool was great for all of our age groups as was the games room and tennis courts. Minehead is only 10 mins drive and Dunster is even closer with its castle worth a visit. Special mention to the Lion Inn (Timberscomb) for a fantastic Sunday lunch, walkable over the fields ( 5 mins in car) they were great, and to Crispy's Fish & Chips (Minehead) who delivered out to us, bang on time. A really enjoyable relaxing weekend. Many thanks.

If you're looking for a peaceful, cozy place perfect for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside, then book Horner cottage! It's equipped with everything you need, has warm and comfy armchairs to relax, and the indoor pool was a real bonus. The mattress was a little firm, but apart from that, we really couldn't fault it.

Spending time with 15 members of the family from a few months old to 84 was a delight. The accommodation was spacious for us all and the activities on site meant that apart from walks around the countryside everyone was entertained.

We stayed for a family birthday, 13 of us and 3 dogs - the stables allowed us to all be under one roof to celebrate together. The layout is quite quirky as it's two units knocked into one, they mirror one another. The dining area allowed us to all get around one table and celebrate together. The children loved the ponies, pool and playing tennis. We had a fabulous afternoon playing rounders in the paddock.

It was such a beautiful location, quiet, family orientated, wonderful views and the family were very friendly and kind. We didn't get to use the swimming pool but will definitely be going back in the next few months.

Family birthday weekend The house had plenty of room for the entire party with space to have time alone. The children enjoyed the swimming pool and games facilities. It was an easy journey to Minehead for shopping and Dunster Castle for sightseeing.

We stayed as a party of 13 and we had the most wonderful time. What struck me about the house is that even though there were so many of us there, we didn’t feel on top of each other at all. The house is huge and almost every one of the eight bedrooms has its own bathroom which I hadn’t quite realised from the advert and which was amazing. The two kitchens were also most welcome. There’s also a separate drying room which was invaluable. We made full use of the games room and tennis courts and also did several walks in the beautiful countryside. We can’t fault the house and we will be back!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Richard’s place. There were 11 adults, 2 young kids and 2 dogs and we were very comfortable. We were incredibly lucky with the weather, so were able to make the most of the beautiful grounds, including playing lots of tennis! Richard was very responsive and would always help out where needed. He even leant us some skewers from his place for our BBQ which was lovely of him.

What a wonderful place! We had a big group of adults and kids and honestly had the best time. The house is gorgeous and the two kitchens worked really well for us being a split party of meat eaters / vegan. The park is a great secret spot for the kids, loads to keep them entertained. Pool is clean and great fun. Didn't realise was a games room when booking so was a fab surprise Richard was wonderful, very responsive and a great host. Close to local Town and we even went to the local beach which is less than 15 mins away. We will be back! Thank you!

We stayed at the annexe with our 3 and 6 years old. The apartment was clean, spacious enough for us, and had all what we needed. We used everyday the shared facilities (swimming pool, tennis court, trampoline, table tennis, football) and we often had these only for us, although we were there during easter time. These were very useful with the kids, at the end of the day or if it was raining. Apartment and facilities are not brand new, but everything is working well and well maintained.

This is a lovely little place to stay. With good access to Exmoor and the surrounding area. The pool, spa and games room were a great addition for our stay, especially on the wet days. The kitchens were well equipped and the dining table was a fantastic space for us all to enjoy our family meals. We had a lovely peaceful stay at Richard’s place, well equipped and easy to find, plenty of storage around the house to unpack for the duration of our stay. Swimming pool was such a great size for all 13 of us and loved the huge table so we could all sit together to eat and play games in the evening! Having two kitchens meant cooking was a lot easier with the amount of people we had stay. Overall lovely time and would definitely come back again!

Duddings was a lovely little spot with plenty to do in the local area. it had lots to offer for the kids to see and do albeit we struggled to balance taking advantage of what was on offer on site (a great indoor pool and hot tub, games room, tennis court, trampoline and ponies) with spending time exploring what was around and very-much readily accessible from this location. We arrived much behind schedule and Richard was responsive and accommodating.

We absolutely loved using the pool/spa in the afternoons, and having a table big enough for us all to sit around for dinners and breakfast was a bonus. The two kitchens accommodated perfectly too! We had a breakfast kitchen and a dinner kitchen! Thank you again for being so kind and allowing us an earlier check in so I could surprise my mum! She had absolutely no idea.

Most of us didn’t even leave the grounds during our stay as we had everything we needed there. We ranged from 2 and a half to 70 years old and we were all catered for. We used the play ground, the trampoline, the games room, the trampoline and tennis court and had a great time. Good indoor space. Handy little snug for those who needed to work online. Good size fridge freezer which coped with 10 of us. Richard was available for anything we needed but gave us our privacy. Thank you Richard!

The stunning location, scenery and peacefulness are beyond words. Owners were onsite, helpful and yet not intrusive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and as for value for money, it can't be beaten. Everything was well looked after, kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc., and the owners greeted us on arrival, made sure we were settled. Welcome pack was a lovely touch.

We booked the house for 12 friends and ourselves for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary weekend. This house was lovely and really peaceful. There were 14 of us and everybody said that it made them really relax. My husband is going through a couple of illnesses at the moment but, within 30 minutes, he felt “very, very relaxed”. Both kitchens were really well equipped and there were tables and chairs in both. There was a large dining area which we were all able to sit at for our meals. Richard did not make his presence felt but, I asked for a high chair and, as if by magic, one turned up!! The grounds surrounding the house were quiet and tranquil with the occasional toot from the steam train. Everybody in our party have asked if we can go again next year so I will be organising this very soon
DS – Stables - May 2024 We had a lovely stay in Bossington, the cottage was clean & tidy and very comfortable. It was very peaceful too. Lots of birds to listen to. Easy check in, all very simple. The pool was a really great feature and the kids loved it, especially because unfortunately the weather was quite wet when we were there. We had fun in the games room and tennis court too.

Lovely place, great swimming pool and games room and the whole place exceeded expectations. Lot to do and see in the local area too with the family, highlights included Dunster Castle, zoo, walk to tallest tree in England (a few miles away in beautiful forest) and fossil hunting at Watchet. Beautiful location.

Our Family of 12 and 4 dogs stayed in the West Wing in November.
The cottage is full of character and had ample room for us all, the courtyard was a great size and we had dedicated parking for 3 cars.
It was so nice to all sit at one table for our meals and the wood burning fire was cosy in the evenings.
The views and grounds are lovely. There is a field that dogs can go in & a stream by the cottage to clean the dogs feet off after a walk.
There is a nice kids play area which ours would have benefited more if we had come in the warmer months.
The swimming pool is a great plus and went down well with the kids, they had great fun.
The location was perfect to Dunster, shops and the beach and we even bought local fish and chips back to the cottage.
Richard was a great host and even helped sort returning items that we had left behind!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Duddings in July 2023. There were 25 of us - a big family group ranging from 70 years old to 2 (12 children and 13 adults). We took the Stables and the West Wing. The accommodation suited our needs - country cottages with plenty of toilets/bathrooms and three kitchens between the two houses. Lots to do on site. We enjoyed the swimming pool and games room and also the trampoline and paddock and the outdoor play area. The kitchens were well equipped and we were able to seat all 25 of us for dinner in the Stables after a bit of reorganisation. Outside there were tables with parasols. There were barbecues at each house. Richard sorted out any minor problems we had. Each house had dishwashers and tumble driers and washing machines. Stayed in 'The West Wing' for a week - a large cottage that accommodated our family of 12. The building is quirky but homely with lots of space inside and a communal area outside, as well as shared spaces and facilities across the site. Our boys loved the swimming pool and games room..

I just wanted to say thank you so much for a lovely weekend at Duddings. West Wing was like a home away from home, it had everything we needed and was the perfect space for 12 people - room to be together and to get away from each other too ! The outside space was perfect and we played many board games under the shade of the umbrellas.
Your grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed the games room, trampoline & tennis court. The pool was the highlight for my children - what a lovely sized pool - they had a huge amount of fun in it .Duddings far exceeded our expectations. Thank you and I am absolutely sure we will be back.

Had a lovely few days with our whole family (including dogs) in this beautiful part of Exmoor. We arrived a bit earlier than expected and the owner kindly let us move in to the cottage a few hours before the check-in time. The accommodation was fantastic with a well equipped kitchen. The pool and games room were great too and kept the kids occupied for hours. On the last day storm Eunice hit and we were kept safe by our centuries old stone cottage. The owners checked that we were all OK and provided us with candles and hot water for tea / coffee. We would love to come back again in times of less extreme weather!

Amazing place. Kids had such a great time feeding the ponies, playing on the trampoline and in the games room. The swimming pool was great especially having the whole pool to ourselves for an hour.

Nice touch to have tea and coffee as well as delicious biscuits on arrival. Site facilities are great whether you have children or not. On site pool, games room with table tennis, pool and football table a great hit, trampoline great size for older children and tennis court a plus. Just some things to while away the hours. Also Echo/Alexa installed for playing music. The gardens are kept in lovely condition with paths run to various activity areas. Shetland ponies in the fields are an additional extra that kids young and old enjoy watching. House was clean and had all necessary appliances in good working order. We enjoyed our stay as a family of 6 with a 13 week puppy!

Despite the current restrictions, really appreciated the 'timed slot' approach so that it was possible to use the indoor pool. Nice new oven and hob in the apartment too and the heating system worked very efficiently despite the stone walls so that even with overnight frosts the apartment was always warm.

One of the best holiday destinations in the UK that I have visited. Amazing scenery, lots to do, was wonderfully nice and clean A nice very friendly very welcoming and very helpful. Right in the heart of the National Park so you gain some amazing with nearby comodities not more than 10 minutes drive . Nice getaway with the family or group of friends highly recommend.

We stayed in Horner which proved to be ideal for the two of us. The views were excellent and Horner is very handy for getting to the excellent swimming pool and the car park. The weather was brilliant and we really appreciated being able to book the pool for one hour private sessions. It was also useful to have a washer/drier in the cottage. The armchairs were very comfortable and we also found the bed very comfortable and slept really well. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. We will certainly return again.

2nd time here, lovely cottage that sleeps 18. It was absolutely spotless, soooooo clean, even the washing machines draws (x 2) were spotless, I checked lol. The cleaners need an award 👌Loads of cooking pans, stuff and maintained to a high quality. Fabulous garden area for cricket, football and games room, swimming pool. I would highly recommended 😁

Just returned from a family two week holiday in West Wing. Stayed as a family of 12 with four children ranging from 2 to 10. Also took our two dogs, who loved the walled garden and looking over to say hello to anyone passing. Something for everyone to enjoy, from feeding carrots to Freddie and Phoenix the pony’s, trampoline, games room, tennis, play field, and especially the heated indoor pool and hot tub. The cottage was large and well laid out, with everything you could want. Beds comfy all had a good nights sleep. The owners were very friendly but left you alone unless you needed them and then they were readily available. Some spiders and cobwebs ,but to be expected in a thatched 16th century long house but didn’t spoil a lovely family holiday. We all agreed we would definitely return.

We had a wonderful time staying in the West Wing at Duddings for a school friend reunion. The space was more than adequate for 11 adults and was wonderfully cosy with the log burner and brilliant to be able to make use of the swimming pool and hot tub. Close to many local attractions including Lynmouth and Dunster, with good pubs nearby too. Excellent value for money - we will be back!

Just back in London after a short break in Duddings. The cottage was really comfortable and cozy, with a great view of the Shetland ponies and valley. Shame about the drizzle, but we had a great time, and made the most of the swimming pool and hot tub - very necessary after the long walks on the moor!

The location was amazing and the walks were great. Richard is a great host and communication was brilliant.
