The West Wing forms the greater part of a traditionally built thatched Longhouse. It is Grade ll listed & dates back to the 16th century. A spacious holiday cottage for comfortably sleeping 14 people, this 4-star accommodation has been tastefully restored & offers a wealth of period features, including exposed beams & inglenook fireplaces.
Approached through a private walled patio garden (a lovely area with a built-in BBQ (charcoal) for meals and drinks with stunning views of the Avill Valley), the entrance porch leads into the main hallway. The well-fitted kitchen has a Bosch dishwasher, built-in Smeg electric double oven & a ceramic hob, Smeg fridge-freezer & a breakfast bar with 4 stools. The oak-floored sitting room has a massive inglenook fireplace with a woodburner stove, a 50" Smart TV & an Amazon Echo with unlimited music & comfortable seating. The dining room (seats up to 16) with its polished hardwood floor & inglenook offers a perfect setting for that special celebration meal. Leading off the hallway is a second sitting room or "snug" with a second Smart TV & DVD, a utility room & 4th loo. The twin bedroom downstairs has an en suite shower room & overlooks the fields.
Upstairs, there are a further 6 bedrooms (3 doubles and 3 twins), a family bathroom with shower, a shower room & an en-suite in bedroom 7. 4 hair dryers are provided for guests use.
Free Wifi Access is available for use in The West Wing. Link up to "West Wing Access Point". A password will be required.
Short Breaks are available outside of the main school holidays - weekends (Fri-Mon) or midweek (Mon-Fri).
Arrival Time - 3-5pm. Please advise eta if later to ensure that we are here to show you into your cottage
Departure Time - by 10.00 am
Parking -: There are 3 parking slots available right beside The West Wing. Cars parking here should use the gated entrance (see 'How to Find Us). Any additional cars can be unloaded by The West Wing but should then be returned to the main car park.
